Didymos has been in the wrap business since 1972. Erika Hoffmann was inspired by short wraps that were used for centuries in Latin America and other parts of the world. She came up with the idea to make the wraps longer after she gave birth to her twin baby girls. Didymos are the gold standard of wrap carriers and aside from all cotton wraps they also offer hemp, linen, wool and silk blends. All Didymos are still woven in Germany or in parts of Austria and made out of organic cotton. Didymos also features different weaves. The indricate Indio and Jaquard weaves feel heavenly when wrapped around you. And the striped cross weaves are very popular due to the amazing colors and great support.
Girasol Baby wraps are made since 1984. The headquarters are in Berlin, Germany. The wraps are woven in Guatamala by hand. The cotton is not organic but its is oeko tex100 certified. Girasol usually come in two weaves that people usually refer to as the old and new weave. The old weave feels supersoft to the touch (almost like flannel). If the wrap is made with different colored yarns in the old weave the backside will look different than the front. Some people love this look because it gives you almost like two wraps in one.
Girasol are lovely wraps and a good alternative to Didymos wraps
The new weave Girasol is a cross weave. We find it is more supportive than the older weave so it makes an excellent wrap for older heavier toddlers. Also the front and the backside of your wrap will look the same.
Slingzilla has been designing exclusive colorways since 2006. We often get a small batch of new colorways in every 4 to 6 months so if you love a particular colorway we recommend to snap them up because there is sometimes no gurantee that we reproducing it again.

Storchenwiege wraps are made in Germany since 1996. They are also Oeko tex100 certified. Storchenwiege also created a couple of limited edition "bio" organic cotton wraps. Storchenwiege come in stripe patterns and the Leo weave pattern. Wrap fanatics usually refer to Storchenwiege as their "workhorse" wrap because they are not as delicate as some other wraps.
